Joseph Stettinger is not YET a well-known name throughout the national disc golf community, but the good people in Oklahoma City know this up-and-coming young man quite well.

In addition to his impressive disc golf skills on the course (he's the 2006 19-and-under Junior World Champion; the 2006 19-and-under World Distance Champion; and the 2006 Oklahoma Advanced State Champion), Joseph is also a super person.

His friendliness on the course is contagious, often offering tips on throwing and pointers on strategy. This young man has also been known to carry some extra discs in his bag, so that he could give them away to players who might not have enough discs.

Nominating player, Ronald Tyler, sums it up this way, "Joseph is one of the nicest disc golfers I have ever met. I just think the award would be great for Joseph."
